Martin N. Seif, PhD, co founded the Anxiety and Depression Association of America, and was a member of its board of directors from 1977 through 1991. Dr. Seif is, a faculty member of New York-Presbyterian Hospital, board certified in cognitive behavioral psychology from the American Board of Professional Psychology, and served as associate director of The Anxiety and Phobia Treatment Center at White Plains Hospital from 1990 through 2016. He was creator and director of Freedom to Fly, the nation's premier airport based fear of flying program, from 2000 through 2016. He maintains a private practice in New York, NY, and Greenwich, CT, and is coauthor of What Every Therapist Needs to Know About Anxiety Disorders (Rutledge, 2014), Overcoming Unwanted Intrusive Thoughts (New harbinger, 2017), and The Reassurance Trap (New Harbinger, in press).
