Uma is the CEO of Voom. Uma is an aerospace enthusiast, who is particularly passionate about urban air mobility and the promise of using the skies to relieve urban congestion and traffic - today. Uma is a firm believer that urban air mobility should be affordable and accessible to commuters in the world’s most congested cities and is dedicated to realizing Voom’s vision of enriching people’s daily lives by elevating their daily commute.
Prior to launching Voom, Uma worked in London for 7 years, first as a consultant with Bain & Company. Later, she ran M&A and partnerships for Rolls-Royce’s Defence business. Most recently, Uma led European Operations for TaskRabbit, a VC-backed marketplace for home services.
Uma graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in Aerospace Engineering, and received her MBA from Harvard Business School.
