Elroy Air secures $40m in Series A

Aircraft lessor Skye Aviation ordered 15 of Bye Aerospace’s new eFlyer 800 electric aircraft, provisionally increasing the manufacturer’s order total to 800.

Lilium in talks with Brazilian airline for $1bn order

Lilium is negotiating the terms for a 220-aircraft, $1bn order with Azul Airlines, one of Brazil’s largest domestic carriers. Deliveries would begin in 2025.

Hermeus gets $60m from the US Air Force

US Air Force and several venture capital firms are making a $60m investment in Hermeus Corporation, the Georgia-based startup that aims to develop the world’s first reusable hypersonic aircraft.

DHL orders 12 Eviation planes

DHL Express has ordered 12 electric cargo aircraft from start-up Eviation for delivery in 2024. DHL is hoping to make a first test flight later this year.
