Honda confirms plans for hybrid-electric eVTOL

Honda has announced plans for a “city-to-city” eVTOL – which will feature a gas turbine hybrid power unit – as part of its 2030 Vision.

Airbus reveals the CityAirbus NextGen 

Airbus has revealed the design of its next-generation, fully-electric CityAirbus. It will seat four passengers for trips within the range of 50 miles at a cruise speed of 75 miles per hour. Airbus expects a 2025 certification.

Post-wildfire reforestation: DroneSeed’s $36m Series A round

DroneSeed’s large-scale tree planting drones have received an additional $36m in new funding, led by Social Capital and Seven Seven Six, as well as others.

Lufthansa wants to be launch customer for Airbus ZEROe

Lufthansa has announced its interest in becoming the launch customer for Airbus’s three-concept aircraft, named ZEROe, launched last year. It will aim to develop the world’s first zero-emission commercial aircraft by 2035.

EHang’s long-range VT-30 makes global debut

EHang’s long-range VT-30 eVTOL aircraft made its global debut ahead of the 13th China International Aviation and Aerospace Exhibition. It is expected to fly two passengers for about 190 miles.
