FIA: Crisalion announces orders with Wilbur Air and Air Chateau

Crisalion Mobility has signed pre-orders with Wilbur Air and Air Chateau marking its entries into the Australian and UAE markets respectively. 

The agreement with Wilbur Air, the airline subsidiary of Australian eVTOL infrastructure developer Skyportz, is for a pre-order of 100 aircraft . The airline operate Crisalion’s Integrity aircraft across its network of vertiports set to be built across the country.

Together, with our Integrity aircraft, we will develop an urban mobility solution that will transform cities and lives across the country.”

Following recent pre-orders in the European market, the partnership signifies Crisalion’s first commercial agreement within the Australian market.

Clem Newton-Brown, CEO of Wilbur Air, said: “We are very excited about the prospect of having CRISALION Mobility’s eVTOLs operating out of our vertiports under the Wilbur Air brand. Many of our partners are looking for exactly the skill set that Crisalion Mobility offers.”

Air Chateau

The deal with Dubai-based operator Air Chateau is for 10 Integrity aircraft. Crisalion and Air Chateau will work together on a growth plan for electric air taxi services in major cities, including Abu Dhabi and Dubai. The agreement also serves as a foundation for potential future joint projects between the two companies in Europe.

Crisalion’s general manager Manuel Heredia said: “This partnership opens not only the door to a strategic region for Crisalion but will also form part of Air Chateau’s approach to providing sustainable air travel services to its customers. We are truly proud to have been chosen as a partner by Air Chateau.”

Air Chateau’s chairman, Samir Mohamed, added: “Through this partnership, we will not only enhance connectivity but also contribute to alleviating the burden on legacy ground infrastructure, complement existing transportation networks, reduce congestion and to build a sustainable future. Air Chateau is excited about the future of AAM, and this collaboration with Crisalion marks a milestone in our journey towards creating smarter, greener cities.”

The aircraft

The Integrity eVTOL is designed to accommodate up to five passengers and a pilot. Built for urban and inter-city transport, the aircraft will serve use cases including cargo, UAM, emergency services and sightseeing. It is expected to travel 130km at cruising speeds of 180km/h, with a 400kg payload.

Integrity features Crisalion’s FlyFree technology, a patented propulsion system. FlyFree features 16 motors, arranged in two arms on each side of the aircraft, each arm can independently adjust its thrust vector in both pitch and roll, using the differential thrust of the motors.

The recent agreements bring Crisalion’s order book to 125 aircraft.
