Jed Kalkstein

Jed Kalkstein has a diverse background that includes operating roles in executive management of startup and growth stage companies and venture capital investing.

Jed is the President of GPMS International, Inc., which offers Foresight MX the next-generation HUMS solution that provides predictive engine and component monitoring, flight data and exceedance monitoring, and automatic delivery of rotor track and balancing solutions after each flight. Most notably, it provides diagnostic and prognostic capabilities including early fault detection and detailed forecasts for Remaining Useful Life of trending components. In addition to helicopters, drones and eVTOLs, Foresight MX is used in military ground vehicles and other high value rotating equipment.

Jed’s previous successful exits include SmartEquip, which is a Connecticut-based, SaaS content distribution and procurement software network for the heavy equipment industry that was sold in 2021 to Ritchie Bros Auctioneers for $175M and SilverSky (previously Perimeter eSecurity), which is a SaaS IT security services company that sold to BAE Systems in 2014 for $230M.

Prior to Perimeter, Jed was a partner at Connecticut Innovations, Inc., a state-affiliated $100M venture capital fund and served as a political appointee at the U.S. Department of Justice.

Jed graduated with honors from Hobart College and received a BA in Philosophy and Political Science. He also holds an MBA from the School of Management at Yale University.
