Eve Air Mobility has appointed Megha Bhatia as its new chief commercial officer (CCO).

Working out of the firm’s US headquarters in Melbourne, Florida, Bhatia will oversee Eve’s global sales, market intelligence and government relations divisions.

She joins Eve after serving as chief strategy officer at Jet Support Services, Inc. (JSSI). Prior to that, Bhatia held a series of leadership roles at Rolls-Royce over a span of more than a decade, culminating in her role as vice president Sales & Marketing for Business Aviation.

“As an industry leader, Eve is crafting a comprehensive ecosystem of cutting-edge products and solutions, where state-of-the-art eVTOLs are seamlessly integrated with safe operations and optimised agnostic systems, including modern air traffic management,” said Bhatia. “I am proud to become a part of the talented team at Eve, working collaboratively to advance Eve’s holistic strategy that supports our extensive global customer base that fosters enduring growth.”

Eve’s order backlog is made up of letters of intent for 2,900 eVTOL aircraft, representing a potential $14.5bn in revenue. The firm also has agreements with 14 service and operations customers in nine countries and pre-deals for its urban air traffic management solution, Vector, with 17 customers.

Johann Bordais, Eve’s CEO said: “Megha’s extensive experience and strategic leadership are going to be instrumental as Eve prepares for letter of intent conversion into firm orders. Her ability to drive growth, manage large P&Ls, and lead high-performing teams, combined with her deep understanding of the aviation industry, make her an invaluable addition to our executive team. As we continue to advance the AAM ecosystem, Megha’s expertise will play a crucial role reaching our goals with team initiatives and driving sustainable growth.”

EveThe company recently assembled its first full-scale eVTOL prototype (pictured above) at Embraer’s test facility in Gavião Peixoto, Brazil, and completed the selection process for primary suppliers for its aircraft.
